Choosing meals and arranging delivery

Choose a recipe and portion first, then compare the basket total, delivery availability and subscription conditions.

Meal Format

Prepared meals arrive frozen for reheating in a microwave or oven; Field Doctor also offers smaller portions and meals for two.

Example Meal Price

£8.79 1 person. One 397g Low FODMAP Teriyaki Salmon + Whole Grain Rice portion. Standard displayed price, excludes delivery; order minimums apply. Product example, not an average price. The Mediterranean recipe and smaller range are different products.

Portion Size

The Low FODMAP salmon single portion weighs 397g and lists 532 kcal; its two-person tray is 794g. Other recipes and ranges differ. This is a specific product example, not a nutritional claim about all Field Doctor meals.

Minimum Order

Sources differ: Budget for the menu's £50 minimum and confirm the subscription requirement at checkout: help says £47.50, the FAQ says seven items, and the bundle says six.

Delivery Charges

Delivery starts at £6.50; orders over £67.50 qualify for free delivery where offered. Location surcharges and exceptions may apply. A meal's displayed price is not its delivered cost. The final postcode-based charge is shown when ordering.

Delivery Coverage

Sources differ: Check your postcode before ordering. Delivery help excludes Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles and Channel Islands; product and FAQ wording differs.

Delivery Days

Choose a Tuesday–Saturday delivery date at checkout. A courier time slot follows; customers cannot choose that time slot.

Dietary Choices and Allergens

Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free and Low FODMAP choices are listed. Check each recipe's ingredients and allergens, including shared-site warnings. A dietary filter does not establish allergy safety or an individual medical benefit.

Storage and Reheating

Meals arrive frozen. For the salmon example, keep below −18°C, do not refreeze once defrosted, and follow its pack's reheating instructions. The single salmon portion takes eight minutes at 800W from frozen plus two minutes' rest, with stirring as directed. Other meals differ; general refreezing advice must not override the pack.

One-Off Orders and Subscriptions

One-off ordering is available. Subscriptions renew at the chosen frequency and regular price until cancelled; pause or cancel through the account. Cancellation of a subscription is separate from changing an order already being prepared. Check the order-change deadline below.

Order-Change Deadline

Terms require order or subscription changes before 8am two days before delivery; processed orders may no longer be editable. Use the account reminder and contact support before the deadline; do not assume pausing later cancels the next prepared order.
